Bob Selig began his career in the car industry at the age of 15, working for his father, Bill Selig, who founded their family owned Ford dealership in 1970. After his father’s passing, Bob and his business partners successfully ran the dealership for over 20 years before merging with the Mitchell Auto Group of Simsbury in 2013. At the dealership, Bob specialized in used car appraisals and inventory management utilizing live auction sales.

At these auctions, Bob identified a special need within the industry. Dealers and managers were losing an entire day in their dealerships while they were busy selling their inventory at auction. They were also losing out on the opportunity to purchase new stock in other lanes while they were on the block representing their vehicles. Meanwhile, other dealers weren’t utilizing auctions at all, instead selling their inventory to wholesalers and losing out on thousands of dollars in potential profit.

With the help of Southern Auto Auction, Bob began his venture in representing vehicles for other dealers at auction in 2004. Since then, Selig Remarketing Services has proven to be the go-to business for top of the line representation.
